Walking onto the grounds of Casa Beatrix is walking into a world apart. Under the expanse of open sky, the outside world is silenced. In the distance, a village skyline reminds you the charms of Portugal are near. Meanwhile, the peaks and valleys filling the rest of the horizon invite total surrender to nature. Casa Beatrix is at once an oasis, a retreat, and a paradise. It is a standing invitation to rest and rejuvenate the softest part of yourself.

Infinite potential is the phrase that comes to mind when I think of the space Shahnaz and Francois have created at Casa Beatrix. I have had the honor of watching Casa Beatrix grow from plot of land to tiny home resting spot to epic garden to proper quinta. Every step along the way uncovered new visions for growth while never deviating from the original dream of creating a beautiful, unique gathering place for those of us who value authenticity, nature, the sacredness of stillness, and the truly healing effect of puppy (and goat) love. I cannot think of two people who are more qualified for the task of bringing the best of us together to showcase the power of human connection.
